Simulation Cricket Authority: Captain battye maintains the top order is strongCaptain battye maintains the top order is strong - February 23, 2006: 08:52:20
SCAN (Simulation Cricket Authority News) captain, battye, has maintained that there is no problem with the top order. However, neither openers, garmabeaneth and nesman, have shown the same sort of form witnessed in the first class matches almost two months ago.

"I am happy with Garmy and Nes at positions 1 and 2. We have experimented with a few players there, but at the moment, it is of my belief that they are the right people to fill those positions".

Seen as a future ODI opener, wanabe continues to bat well down the order. In the first tri series game against, he made 91 not out.

"Maybe he will be an opener in the future, all I know, is that right now, we have the strongest middle order in the world, and he is a part of that. At the moment, positions #4 - #7 average 221.98.. that's 55.50 a player! If the top order puts on a quick 40 or 50, that allows the middle order to then build on the score, and get the side up around 270 / 280", battye said.

krb107 and Burian are others in the side, who's future remains unseen. krb107 averages a little over 16 with the bat, while Burian's allround figures have a lot to be desired.

"We'll give them time, Krb could go out on Sunday when are 5/50 and put on 150. Burian could take 5 wickets and save the match for us.. who knows. The series is still young, they have proven in the first class competition that they are quality players, and when it comes to the series.. we are in a promising position".

The other members of the 15 man squad include StorbinC, Protoman X, moongirl, and p2p-sharing-rules.
