The final match of the 5 ODI series had it all. Hawkheadquarters.com won the toss, and batted first. The minnows of simulation cricket took advantage of a good WACA pitch, and their top order did the job, with their openers gob79 and greatbar, making 56 and 46 respectively. Action_Force made only 20, but Hawks Heroes, who has struggled in the past, made a crucial 56.
Lower in the order, it was DynamoUltra who did the damage, with an unbeaten 37. Only Dixie Flatline, at number 11, stuck around with DynamoUltra, before being stumped in the 47th over. Hawkheadquarters.com managed to make 252. river_mouse did the most damage of all the bowlers, taking 4/56.
Fishlipps.no-ip.org struggled badly on the Perth pitch, having lost 5 wickets in the first 10 overs. All hope looked lost, until djay6 and shazzziam worked together to build a partnership which lasted 12 overs. djay6 was bowled for 45.
The tail wagged, with Kille, Wackaloony and river_mouse all sticking around, and making scores in the 10's. shazzziam's unbeaten 81, which earned her the man of the match award, was not enough to save the team from defeat though, with the last wicket falling on a score of 222. Fishlipps.no-ip.org lasted 43 overs at the crease, a feat which nobody thought possibly when the team was 5/58.
Fishlipps.no-ip.org won the series 3-2, and are expected to play 5 ODI's against BalladP2P.com in June. |
