Simulation Cricket Authority: vs - 3rd ODI vs
3rd ODI

The 3rd and final ODI of this series between and had no shortage of batting action.

Being sent in to bat, Equentity - Jamie got the ball rolling in his typical fashion; with lots of runs. Smashing 69 from 66 before being caught by the keeper, gave the team the best opportunity to date of a 300+ score. His batting partner, cabalstudios, was given out LBW for 12. was the next man to the crease, and was joined by Joseph_M after the wicket of Equentity - Jamie. Joseph_M made just 13, before Cifra-Jay walked out. and Cifra-Jay stayed at the crease for over 10 overs and put on over 50 runs, which in hindsight, was the worst possible scenario for Cifra-Jay eventually fell for 34.

Oonth took it upon himself to boost the runrate, with 26 off 19 balls. His luck run out, when Chameleongirl clean bowled him. All the while, was building an enormous score.

chrisranjana fell for 3, while arkin made a duck. These were the only blemishes on an otherwise good looking scorecard. Slidey made 6 off just 2 balls, and remained not out., who was called back into the team at the expense of fremont, remained unbeaten on a run-a-ball 139. This was his first ODI century.

On the huge total of 7/302 from 50 overs, the bowlers had little impact on the WACA pitch. Chameleongirl (1/8 from 3 overs) and Aussie500 (1/49 from 10) were the only bowlers with an economy under 5 an over. Even Ace, who has been's standout bowler this series, only managed 1/58.

Finnie (2/13 from 2) and Cleetus (2/65 from 10) were the only multiple wicket takers.

Beef and Finnie, the openers, had the tricky task of batting out the opening overs, while also keeping the run-rate ticking along at over 6 runs and over.

They batted out the new-ball overs exceedingly well, with Finnie (25 runs) the only wicket by over 15. With the team at 1/93 at 5.81 an over, requiring 6.13 an over, a victory looked possible. When Joseph_M got the wicket of Beef (38 runs), things went downhill, as did the runrate.

Serj fell soon over, for 2.

KingScott was batting well, but those around him were not. Chameleongirl fell for 17, which was a huge blow to the team. jakeolsen scored a quickfire 30, which was desperately needed, with just under 90 runs required from the last 10 overs. Zog falling for a duck may have been the final nail in the coffin.

With only tail-enders around him, KingScott had a lot of pressure placed on his shoulders.

Aussie500 made 7 before being stumped, while Ace smashed two boundaries for his 13 runs. When Cleetus was caught and bowled by captain Equentity - Jamie, victory was in sight.

The score was 9/246 with 4 overs to go. The required run rate was 14 an over, and KingTigerII was on strike. The next ball went flying for 6, not a bad effort for the tail-ender. With KingScott's help, they made 10 from the over, but despite surviving the next few overs, while adding a further 17 to the total, wasn't able to get over the line, and the team experienced their first ODI loss.

KingScott led from the front, with 123 not out from 129 deliveries. KingTigerII made an unbeaten 15, from 17 balls.

UnitedPakistan made way for JazzFinder in this match, who went on to take 2/62 from his 10 overs. Slidey (2/46 from 10) and Joseph_M (2/17 from 3) were the only other multiple wicket takers. Equentity - Jamie, cabalstudios and PixelManual all took single wickets, in what was clearly not a day for the bowlers.

With and KingScott each scoring their maiden ODI century, it was difficult to select a man of the match, but in the end, received the honours, for his role in setting up the victory.

The conclusion of this game, also concludes the series. continued their dominance in the Test arena, while have been the first team in months, to rival for that number one position in the ODI rankings. Both teams will be able to take something away from this series, and in their next encounters, whoever they may be against, the simulation cricket world should be in for some big scores.
