Tri-Series Final
The anxiously awaited final to this Tri-Series involving Banglacricket.com, Saintsational.com and Webhostingtalk.com, was somewhat anti-climatic, with just 385 runs being scored in total... most of those can be attributed to AsifTheManRahman.
Banglacricket.com won the toss and batted first. Shahriyar, coming off an amazing century, made only 10, while Adel_chain_gang wasn't able build his innings beyond 15.
Hatebreed came in at number 4 and added just 11 before getting out for his first time in ODI cricket. He now averages 71.00 with the bat. Tehsin's ODI average is still in single figures, after making 9.
Miraz added 22.
At the other end, AsifTheManRahman was going crazy, and he eventually scored 7 sixes and 4 fours before departing for yet another knock just short of a century. This time it was 89 (from 61).
The tail order provided some resistance. Omio smashed 7 off two deliveries, and got out on his third, but Imran78 and Lidcombe both made golden ducks.
Hasib, who almost made a Test half-century against Saintsational.com, managed to add 15. Rubu was unbeaten on 30 again, and Banglacricket.com were all out for 208 mid way into the 33rd over.
Slidey was expensive, but was the leading wicket taker with 4/74. arkin took 3 wickets for 35.
Webhostingtalk.com's innings got off to a reasonable start, with Equentity - Jamie adding 36 at better than a run-a-ball, and cabalstudios adding 32 to secure the title of leading run scorer for the series.
He made 213 runs in total, at an average of 106.50. AsifTheManRahman followed with 203 runs at 67.33. Shahriyar made 166 at 83.00, but was the highest innings score; 137*. Launcestonsaint was next, and was the only Saintsational.com batsman to feature in the top 5, with 134 runs, at an undefined average (he was not out in both his innings).
Slidey was the leading wicket taker in the series, with 10 wickets at 16.30. arkin (8 at 17.25), Lidcombe (8 at 15.13) and Hasib (8 at 17.00) all followed. The only Saintsational.com bowler to feature in the top 10, was HSVKing who took 2 wickets at 57.00, which summed up the teams performance in the tri-series.
Back to the cricket. joomlaguy.com continued his bad run of form, was a disappointing 20. Cifra-Jay was clean bowled by Lidcombe for 19.
It was left to Joseph_M and the middle and lower orders to try and win this game. Joseph_M played a fine innings of 58* from 55 balls, but had no support at the other end, with JazzFinder's score of 5 being the highest of the middle and lower order.
Webhostingtalk.com were all out, 31 runs short of a much needed victory.
